Joséphine BAKER
Joséphine Baker had the same rank (second lieutenant) and the same decorations (Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur (military title), croix de guerre avec palmes, médaille de la résistance (with rosette for Joséphine Baker) and croix de la France Libre) as Georges Caussanel and Suzanne Guiral for their commitment to the Resistance.
She will be laid to rest at the Pantheon on November 30, 2021.
Joséphine BAKER contre Hitler
Joséphine BAKER worked as a secret agent of Free France, then in the Free French Air Forces.
This book tells of his early involvement in the Resistance and in the intelligence of Free France, a story little known because eclipsed by his career as a star.
My father Georges had met her once in Paris, when she was with Jo Bouillon, then another time in Milandes in the Dordogne.
THE STORY OF PAT O'LEARY
THE STORY OF PAT O'LEARY
BY VINCENT BROME
Which admirably traces the atmosphere of this time of daily danger and urgency experienced by men in the shadows, men of the Resistance and those who came from England in enemy land, full of traps.
Pat O'Leary (Dr Albert Marie Guerisse) British MI 9 agent, created an escape network throughout France which saved many British and American pilots shot down in France, escapees and resistance fighters. He was arrested by the Gestapo and deported to the Mathausen and Dachau camps.
The organization's radio station was based in Montauban where Pat O'Leary visited several times. Tom Groome, the radio, was arrested by the Gestapo with the Cheramys who were lodging him.
It is possible that my father Georges, from whom I have this book, knew him, but I am not sure. However, what I do know is that my father had met Françoise Dissart in Toulouse.

MEMORIES OF A SECRET AGENT OF FREE FRANCE
MEMORIES OF A SECRET AGENT OF FREE FRANCE
BY COLONEL REMY
Summary: "Le Refus is the first volume of Colonel Rémy's famous series, Mémoires d'un agent secret de la France Libre, the best-known and most complete testimony published on" shadow fighters. " that I had begun my reading, nothing existed any more except her. I saw the birth, groping, growing, developing and living, with its successes and its catastrophes, its sufferings, its anguishes and its agonies, the astonishing adventure of a man whom nothing intended for the profession of secret agent. (...) Having spent a sleepless night on these pages, I say the following morning, as I repeat here: it is magnificent. "
TRACKING DOWN RESISTANCE FIGHTERS
This well-documented book shows how a small number of traitors, or infiltrators, were able to deal terrible blows to the Resistance.
It also shows how Resistance fighters had to overcome the anxiety, the fear of being arrested and of speaking under torture, and the general atmosphere of mistrust: anyone, including friends, family members, neighbors, and even other infiltrated "Resistance fighters" could become informers, using the vilest of motives as a pretext.
Pierre Clostermann (1921-2006), a fighter pilot in the Royal Air Force, was France's "greatest fighter" during the 39/45 war, and subsequently France's "most decorated" man.
